As an Entry Mechanical Engineer within Research & Development (R&D), you will participate in developing and enhancing mechanical aspects of building systems and solutions at Veev. You will coordinate, model and draw manufacturable, scalable, and Veev-compliant mechanical solutions, incorporating Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) and cost-effectiveness while adhering to highest modeling and technical drawing standards. You will contribute to innovative projects such as developing modular building components and creating solutions to optimize off-site manufacturing. This role provides the opportunity to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary design teams and cross-functionally with partners in manufacturing and assembly teams in order to contribute to Veev’s continued growth.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining detailed building panels models, which reflects the Veev technology development.
  • Responsible for the modeling and drawing production of mechanical, structural, and architectural building solutions, parts and assemblies .
  • Model prototypes and write test protocols.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members.
  • Maintain quality control of designs, ensuring adherence to mechanical standards and industry best practices.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institution.
  • 2+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience with a proven A-to-Z track record.
  • Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks and PDM required), including technical drawing and GD&T tolerancing.
  • Organized and structured working skills, with a keen eye for details and graphical clarity.
  • Familiar with product life cycle development processes.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with building, off-site construction or structural framing systems.
  • Experience with sheet metal parts and assemblies.
  • Familiarity with Revit, BIM360, Navisworks, and other BIM tools.
