Construction Trade Partner Program Manager

Overview:
The Program Manager (Trade Partnerships) will lead the Trade Partnership Program, a key competitive advantage as our company continues to grow. This role will be responsible for managing trade subcontractors, ensuring alignment with company expectations, driving process improvements, and fostering successful partnerships. The manager will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the program's efficiency, ensuring that all partners are well-trained and deliver on scope, schedule, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Trade Subcontractors:
- Ensure subcontractors are trained and understand expectations for project deliverables.
- Oversee the delivery of contracted services, ensuring compliance with scope, quality, and timelines.
Onboard and Develop Trade Subcontractors:
- Oversee the onboarding of subcontractors, ensuring they receive proper training and are integrated into the project efficiently.
- Develop and execute resource plans to ensure subcontractors have the necessary tools, training, and information to succeed.
Optimize Partner Performance:
- Track subcontractor performance, identifying ways to reduce cycle times and improve project delivery speed.
- Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement with trade partners.
Roll Out Training Programs:
- Collaborate with Learning & Development (L&D) to design and roll out training programs for subcontractors.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Legal: Ensure contracts are properly managed, and terms are met, and mitigate risks.
- Learning & Development (L&D): Work on the delivery, development and continuous improvement of training content for trade partners.
- Engineering: Ensure alignment with construction and technical requirements.
- Product Management: Collaborate on feedback loops and product review sessions to refine our product, resourcing timelines, specifications, and continuous improvement.
- Logistics & Purchasing: Coordinate with procurement teams to streamline the supply chain for subcontractor needs.
- Develop and Manage Resource Plans:
- Create and maintain resource plans that support subcontractor readiness and project requirements.
- Ensure appropriate allocation of subcontractor resources for each project phase to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Program Management:
- Track, manage, and report on key program metrics and milestones, ensuring the overall success of the Trade Partnership Program.
- Develop the “Veev Certified Trade Partner Program”:
- Support and work with the head of B&I, Leadership, and Learning & Development to develop the Veev Certified Trade Partner Program” or VCTPP.
- Ensure program is developed on time while tracking milestones.
- Deploy the program across all field Trade Partners.
Program Management:
- Track, manage, and report on key program metrics and milestones, ensuring the overall success of the Trade Partnership Program.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Successfully onboard [X] trade partners annually.
- Reduce subcontractor cycle times by [X]% within [timeframe].
- Improve subcontractor compliance rates and satisfaction metrics.
- Continuous increase % of work handled by sub contractors.

- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement a long-term strategy for managing trade partners while considering future growth.
- Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain successful partnerships and actively manage expectations with subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables while maintaining high attention to detail.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively
- Problem Solving: Ability to quickly address and resolve subcontractor performance issues, develop contingency plans, and ensure project continuity.
- People Development: Ability to guide, coach and lead others. Can effectively train others in both an on the job and in a classroom style setting
Process Optimization: Experience in improving operational efficiencies, reducing cycle times, and driving continuous improvement across the subcontractor network.
Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of construction trades and subcontractor management.
- Strong program management experience, with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage external partners.
- Demonstrated experience in reducing operational cycle times and improving process efficiency.
- Experience with training and leading OTJ training with subcontractors is a nice to have
- Experience working with cross functional teams legal, product, engineering, and logistics teams is a plus.
Compensation
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skills, education, experience, and location is $140,000-$165,000 annually for Hayward, CA and surrounding areas.
