The Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Manager of Solar Commissioning Engineering to lead and oversee our solar commissioning engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar energy systems, a proven track record in project management, and the ability to drive excellence in project delivery. This role is critical in ensuring the successful commissioning of solar projects, meeting industry standards, and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Management:

    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of solar commissioning engineers.

    • Develop and implement strategic plans for the commissioning department.

    • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and teamwork.

  2. Project Oversight:

    • Oversee the commissioning of solar projects from planning to execution.

    • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

    • Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and other stakeholders.

  3. Technical Expertise:

    • Provide technical guidance and expertise in solar commissioning processes.

    • Develop and maintain commissioning protocols, procedures, and best practices.

    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.

  4. Client and Stakeholder Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

    • Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to project commissioning.

    • Represent the company in meetings, conferences, and industry events.

  5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

    • Monitor and evaluate the performance of commissioning activities.

    • Prepare and present reports on project status, performance metrics, and outcomes.

    • Implement corrective actions to address any deviations from project plans.

  6. Safety and Compliance:

    • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture within the commissioning team.

    • Ensure all commissioning activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

    • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in solar energy systems, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.

  • Extensive knowledge of solar PV systems, commissioning processes, and industry standards.

  • Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams.

  • Strong project management skills, with experience in large-scale solar projects.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel as required.
