Job Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be primarily responsible for supporting the Manager, Accounts Payable in all Accounts Payable functions, as well as overseeing internal expense reports and ensuring they are compliant with corporate policies. This individual will report to the Manager, Accounts Payable and collaborate with functions across the organization as necessary to complete Accounts Payable responsibilities and review and approve expense reports accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts payable functions, including vendor setup, invoice workflow oversight, check run preparation, internal and external accounts payable related inquiries, company credit card reconciliations, etc.
  • Ensure the integrity of expense reports compared to company policies, and prepare respective journal entries, reconciliations, and other analysis
  • Document all processes in accordance with internal controls to meet SOX compliance
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors to help facilitate quarterly reviews and the annual audit

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payables
  • Experience with Navan or other expense software
  • Proficient in Excel and an ability to adopt new technologies in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to partner with cross functional teams
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail in order to identify differences to policies
  • Ability to work and thrive in an ever-changing business environment
  • A passion for helping small businesses to succeed

NOTE: Must be willing to work in our Scottsdale, AZ headquarters. We have a hybrid work environment and expect our team members to be in-office Monday-Thursday (4 days a week) with Friday being remote.
