We’re looking for Software Engineer, Backend to join Procore’s Resource Planning Team within the Product & Technology Division. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and enhancing features, working on both the Node.js backend. A strong foundation in backend development is crucial, complemented by the ability to independently develop and implement frontend solutions.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with Product and UX teams to spearhead the development of new features and enhance existing ones. You will be a pivotal figure in shaping our team's technical culture, requiring a blend of robust technical expertise and exceptional communication skills.

This position reports to the Engineer Manager and will be based in our Austin, TX office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do: (6-8 bullets)

• Maintain and enhance existing legacy codebases.
• Design, develop, and deploy new backend features.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
• Develop and execute comprehensive tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their technical growth.
• Take ownership of system stability, including incident response and resolution.
• Identify and implement opportunities to refactor and improve existing code.

• 2+ years of experience in building sophisticated web applications.
• In-depth understanding of backend development principles and best practices.

• Strong proficiency in Javascript and Node.js.
