Job Description

We’re looking for a People Services Specialist to join Procore’s People Team. In this role, you’ll support our global workforce by delivering hands-on human resources support across a variety of operational functions. You’ll help ensure smooth HR processes and compliance while enabling a positive and consistent employee experience.

As a People Services Specialist, you’ll partner with HR, Payroll, IT, Legal, and other internal teams to manage employee lifecycle events, maintain data accuracy, and drive process improvements. Use your attention to detail, communication skills, and sound judgment to help deliver reliable, timely, and people-first support. This position reports to the Manager, People Services and will be based in our Heredia, Costa Rica office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including background check monitoring, documentation preparation, and system task management

  • Prepare and issue employment-related documents such as offer letters, agreements, and employment verifications

  • Administer employee benefits and manage Workers' Compensation claims

  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR inquiries, guiding employees to resources or internal partners

  • Triage and manage HR service tickets in Jira while maintaining accurate records in the HRIS

  • Generate and deliver reports to business leaders and key stakeholders to support workforce planning

  • Create and maintain SOPs and process documentation to ensure clarity and consistency across operations

  • Monitor and apply local labor laws and policy changes, partnering with Legal to support compliance training and documentation

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in HR operations or as an HR generalist

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple priorities

  • Discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive employee matters

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

  • Analytical thinker with solid problem-solving abilities

  • Familiarity with tools such as Workday, Jira, Culture Amp, Google Workspace, Slack, and Microsoft Office
