Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Manager, Product Design to lead Procore's Resource Management solution, transforming the construction industry through experiences that simplify and integrate complex labor, equipment, and materials capabilities to drive rich, intelligence-driven collaboration across stakeholders in construction.

As a Senior Manager you will lead and inspire our team of talented Product Designers to design customer-centric solutions that radically improve existing functionality and propose design solutions for filling gaps in our current products. You will be a fierce advocate for accessibility, quality, and usability, and be a bold voice that drives the creation of intuitive and powerful solutions for our customers. You’ll be deeply connected with and motivated by our customers’ needs and Procore’s vision to improve the lives of everyone in construction.

This is a highly collaborative role, working directly with the Head of Design for Resource Management & Owners Innovation on design, team, and experience strategy; with Product, Engineering, and other Design leaders to develop and execute on our roadmap and strategic vision; and with the designers themselves to empower them and engage them as leaders within the organization. We value ownership, openness, and optimism and are looking for a leader who can exemplify these values. If you’re interested in helping put Procore at the center of all things construction—apply today!

This position will report to our Head of Design for Resource Management & Owners Innovation and will be based out of our Austin, Texas office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

  • As a leader, mentor, and coach to designers, you will give and receive feedback that improves design outcomes and fosters learning. You will create the right circumstances and conditions for the design to deliver value, and for individuals to create meaningful, career-defining work
  • You will work collaboratively with the Head of Design for Resource Management and your cross-functional partners to assess and optimize teams and processes, introduce new concepts and design thinking methodologies, set a vision, and strategically empower and engage your designers to be leaders
  • Serve as an innovation and industry thought leader and key facilitator of intuitive, actionable, accessible, and intelligence-driven approaches to building experiences
  • Drive a systems-mindset to build, integrate, and evolve consistent, usable, and efficient components and experiences across the product portfolio including mobile
  • Contribute to a world-class team by leading, developing, and hiring highly-talented designers
  • Enable cross-functional product teams to achieve the company's prioritized business objectives and key results, fueled by customer insights and SURE metrics
  • Gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design and experience decisions, and use the insights, themes, and opportunities to build narratives, perspectives, and rationale

What we’re looking for:

  • 8+ years of experience building and delivering successful, complex B2B Enterprise/SaaS products and/or Consumer products at scale
  • 3+ years of experience building and leading a design team
  • Bachelor’s or master’s preferred in graphic design, HCI, UX, a related area of study, or equivalent work experience
  • The capability to recognize great design work and inspire others to achieve higher levels of excellence
  • A collaborator that can partner with Product and Technology to take industry insights and business goals to direct teams
  • Ability to seamlessly flip between the language of business and design, setting meaningful goals and objectives for your team, while advocating for important design decisions to company leadership
  • History of driving decisions through qualitative and quantitative research and analysis
  • Expertise in designing for web and mobile experiences
  • A strong example of a servant leader, deploying your team in a way that shares decision making, encourages ownership and autonomy, and drives engagement
  • Must have experience with Figma and other modern interface design, research, prototyping, and AI tooling
