Job Description

SALES INCENTIVE COMPENSATION MANAGER

Procore is looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Sales Incentive Compensation Manager to join our Global Incentive Compensation team. In this role, you’ll lead the operations and execution of our global sales incentive compensation programs—ensuring payouts are timely, accurate, and aligned with business goals. This is a highly collaborative, people management role that requires deep technical expertise in commission systems and process optimization, combined with exceptional communication skills and the ability to partner across time zones. This role will initially oversee 1-2 analysts, but will scale as we grow with the business. Role will be focused on establishing our India operations as well as supporting the global compensation function.

This position will report to our Director, Incentive Compensation and will be based in India. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What You’ll Do

Commission Operations

  • Lead the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual commissions process, ensuring all calculations are accurate, auditable, and compliant with SOX.
  • Lead cross-team efforts to continually identify process issues/efficiencies, recommend solutions, implement process improvements, and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Oversee commission accruals and reconciliations in partnership with Finance and Accounting.
  • Serve as the escalation point for plan inquiries and exceptions, resolving issues in a timely and transparent manner.

Systems & Tools

  • Partner with Systems to evaluate ongoing enhancement of our incentive compensation tool (Xactly).
  • Coordinate UAT, defect tracking, plan configuration, and tool optimization across stakeholders.
  • Provide vision and recommendations to support growth, scalability, and automation across platforms

Reporting & Analytics

  • Deliver executive-level reporting packages and dashboards that provide insights into payout accuracy, plan performance, and trends.
  • Analyze compensation data to identify areas for optimization or process improvement.
  • Monitor commission KPIs and SLAs, and recommend improvements based on recurring patterns.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor a team of analysts, including onboarding, training, and performance development.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment and promote knowledge sharing across regions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams (Sales, HR, Legal, Payroll) to support strategic initiatives, M&A, and GTM activities.
  • Compliance & Governance
  • Partner with Legal to ensure compensation programs adhere to corporate policies and regional labor laws.
  • Maintain and regularly audit process documentation, SOX controls, and risk mitigation procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit cycles.

Compensation Planning

  • Participate in our annual revenue planning process - act as a SME on compensation plans, plan administration and systems.

  • Provide analysis and recommendations in support of new compensation plan designs or changes.

Who You Are

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in sales compensation or incentive operations roles, including 2+ years in people management.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred majors in Finance, Business, or related fields.
  • Deep knowledge of global compensation operations, including compliance, accruals, and payout administration.
  • Hands-on experience with incentive tools such as Xactly, Salesforce, and ERP systems.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to perform complex data analysis and present to leadership.
  • Strategic thinker with a process improvement mindset and strong project management abilities.
  • Excellent communicator with fluent written and verbal English skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed, global organization and work flexible hours during certain high-volume/high-impact processing periods to align with US-based stakeholders.
  • Confident working independently and willing to challenge the status quo with constructive solutions.
