Job Description

What if you could use your technology skills to develop a product that impacts the way communities’ hospitals, homes, sports stadiums, and schools across the world are built? Construction impacts the lives of nearly everyone in the world, and yet it’s also one of the world’s least digitized industries, not to mention one of the most dangerous. That’s why we’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager, Documents Platform to join Procore’s journey to revolutionize a historically underserved industry.

We have developed a construction document management solution for our global customer base to efficiently collaborate on project documents while staying compliant and reducing risk on job sites. And as a Senior Product Manager in our Documents Division, you will be responsible for the strategy, definition, usability, and performance of the underlying Documents Platform and Integrations for our customers, partners, and developers.

To be successful, the product manager needs to have technical and business acumen along with a passion for delighting users with simple solutions and engaging digital experiences. You will be valued as a technical subject matter expert among business and engineering partners for your ability to maximize the value of your products and services through thoughtful, data-driven problem solving, crisp definition of MVP solutions, and cross-functional collaboration. If you have a passion for solving complex problems unique to running large, highly scalable, resilient systems, we would love for you to join us!

This position will report to the Director of Product Management for the Documents Division and is based in our Austin, TX office. We’re looking for someone to join our team immediately.

What you'll do:

  • Drive our Document integration and sharing strategy and technical product requirements with architects, engineering, and design leads (reusable UI components, platform integrations, third party integrations, public API/webhooks, etc...)

  • Identify and write product requirements by considering outcome potential, competitive landscape, technical requirements, and user experience

  • Become well-versed in the construction industry and its diverse challenges to guide and communicate the value you’re creating for our customers and our integration partners

  • Balance customer empathy with horizontal solution thinking—recognize platform approaches that solve multiple problems at once, creating strategic leverage for Procore

  • Effectively use qualitative and quantitative data analysis to help inform the decision-making process

  • Own and maintain document integration reporting and metrics

  • Think beyond software for the whole solution by collaborating closely with customers and go-to-market teams

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years managing APIs, integrations, platforms, and developer-facing solutions

  • Experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional teams in an agile software development environment

  • Experience managing products and rollouts with complex dependencies across multiple autonomous product teams

  • Customer-centric approach and experience collaborating and conducting discovery with large enterprise companies

  • Ability to effectively communicate trade-offs for decisions through strong written and verbal skills

  • Strong analysis and synthesis skills, demonstrating the ability to break down problems into components structured into platform-first solutions

  • Strong listening skills; Product Management is equally about inquiring as it is advocating

  • Talent for designing future-proof solutions with an eye towards future use cases, scalability, and maintainability.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, UX Design, or a related field is preferred
