Summary

We’re looking for a Software Engineer 2 to join Procore’s Product & Technology Team. Procore software solutions aim to improve the lives of everyone in construction and the people within Product & Technology are the driving force behind our innovative, top-rated global platform. This position is part of the AI Studio team, which develops cutting-edge AI-powered solutions for construction management. You will be responsible for building and deploying cloud applications, leveraging technologies such as Databricks for data pipelines, cloud applications using the Ray framework, and utilizing industry-standard CI/CD practices. You will work with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver models that create customer value and ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of our solutions.

As a Software Engineer 2 at Procore Technologies, you will have the opportunity to apply exciting advancements in machine learning to problems in construction management. Imagine creating image search capabilities to allow construction professionals to find images quickly, extracting data from documents to help construction professionals improve their workflows, and predicting trends in construction sites to mitigate risk.

This position reports into the AI Studio Team Lead and will be based in our Austin, TX location. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

• Develop, maintain and deploy cloud applications

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient deployment processes.

• Monitor and debug data pipelines

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet stakeholder goals.

• Write, review, and maintain high-quality code in Python.

• Utilize machine learning algorithms to develop and enhance AI functionalities.

• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality.

• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments to ensure system reliability.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proficiency in Python programming.

• Experience with deploying applications using Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with industry-standard CI/CD practices.

• Understanding of machine learning algorithms and their application.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Prior experience with GitHub and managing pull requests is a plus.

Additional Information

Base Pay Range $112,320 - $154,440. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
