The Seller team is responsible for Opendoor’s primary products that allow people to sell their home with simplicity and certainty. This includes our all-cash offer to buy a home and helping people list their home on the open market. You’ll work on our most important and primary revenue-generating product, allowing you to design features that touch the majority of our customers and drive large business impact.
You’ll partner with a product manager and a team of other designers, content, and research all working together to make Opendoor the best place for people to sell their homes.
Role Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional teams to design and launch consumer-facing product features.
- Conduct research & testing for features that you own.
- Collaborate with Designers and Engineers to ensure a cohesive experience across our platforms.
- Communicate and lead discussions with cross-functional teams to make sure deliverables are well-executed.
- Uphold a high standard for design excellence and contribute to raising the bar for design at our company.
What we’re looking for
- Someone with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience working on complex consumer-facing projects
- Expert in visual design. You have exceptional skills in all the essential elements of visual design. And your work is a benchmark for other designers.
- Strong systems thinker. You know when to go beyond the available patterns to create new ones. And that a design system is more than documentation — it’s how we work together.
- Someone who can empower direct and cross-functional team members to work with high standards.
- Have a portfolio that showcases well-thought-through designs.
- Hungry to learn and evolve in all things. From design craft to process and strategy. You never stop pushing toward the next big challenge.
Compensation:
Remote (Zone 1, 2, and 3) Salary:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The U.S. pay range for this position in most locations is $108,000-$153,000 annually. In the SF Bay Area of California, Seattle, and New York City Metro area the base salary range is $136,000-$170,000 Mid. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. We also offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, 12 paid holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, basic life insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
