ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Culinary Operations Manager you will be responsible for implementing, executing, and collaborating on all initiatives surrounding food quality, throughput, food cost variance, and culinary training. You will collaborate with the VP of Culinary and Director of Training on initiatives to maintain and improve metrics surrounding culinary operations within the four walls of the restaurants.

  • Work with the VP of Operations to define initiatives around maintaining and improving but not limited to the following categories: food quality, throughput, labor variance, food safety, and food cost variance.

  • Collaborate with the VP of Culinary on tactical plans to execute goals and initiatives on aforementioned categories.

  • Collaborate with the Director of Training to build all necessary SOP and training materials around aforementioned categories.

  • Execute plans to drive such initiatives within the four wall restaurants in collaboration with field operations leaders.

  • Support training for all new store openings, menu changes, or other initiatives as dictated by the VP of Operations and Director of Training.

  • Collaborate with VP of Operations to ensure Kitchens hit budgeted metrics across COGS and Food Quality.

  • Provide regularly scheduled field leadership training across best practices for food quality, food cost, throughput, and food safety management.

  • Included but not limited to in store mentorship around culinary operations for Kitchen Managers, General Managers, and Area Managers

  • Extreme attention to detail

  • Methodical and organized approach to problem solving critical problems related to food quality, safety and operational efficiency

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to translate high level goals into actionable plans with meticulous attention to detail

  • Passion for high delicious food - quality driven mindset

  • Open to travel

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years in Kitchen Manager / Culinary R&D role working directly with field operators

  • Experience writing Training Materials and SOPs

  • Past KPI ownership - track record of effectively managing and hitting KPIs

  • Ideally experience as a GM
