ABOUT THE ROLE
This is the most exciting and challenging Supply Role in all of restaurants. You'll be building supply chain for the future of restaurants - Local Kitchens! As the Director of Supply Chain, you will manage the sourcing, procurement, and logistics of all supplies necessary for the operation of our restaurants. By effectively managing the supply chain, you play a critical role in ensuring the success and profitability of the restaurant company while upholding quality standards and guest satisfaction across all locations for a multi-unit restaurant company.
Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of high-quality ingredients, food products, beverages, equipment, paper goods, cleaning materials, and other supplies needed across all restaurant locations.
Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure favorable agreements while maintaining quality standards, ensuring reliability of supply, at the most favorable prices.
Inventory Management: Oversee vendor inventory levels and forecasting to prevent stockouts or excess inventory. Implement inventory control procedures and systems to optimize inventory turnover and minimize waste.
Cost Control: Monitor and analyze supply chain costs, including procurement costs, transportation expenses, and inventory holding costs. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives.
Quality Assurance: Develop and enforce quality standards for all incoming supplies, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company standards. Implement quality control processes to safeguard the integrity and freshness of ingredients between both our vendors and four wall restaurants.
Logistics and Distribution: Coordinate logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of supplies to each restaurant location. Optimize transportation routes and modes to minimize costs and streamline delivery processes.
Collaboration with Operations: Work closely with restaurant operations leadership to understand their supply needs and preferences. Collaborate on menu development, promotions, and special events to ensure supply availability and support business objectives.
Compliance and Risk Management: Stay informed about regulatory requirements related to food safety, labeling, recalls, and sourcing practices. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards to mitigate risks and liabilities.
Technology Adoption: Leverage technology solutions such as supply chain management software, inventory tracking systems, and data analytics tools to improve visibility, efficiency, and decision-making in the supply chain.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement. Implement process enhancements and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Scale team based on business scale and needs.
Sustainability Initiatives: Explore opportunities to integrate sustainable sourcing practices and environmentally friendly packaging options into the supply chain strategy, aligning with corporate social responsibility goals while maintaining fiscal responsibility and budgets.

Comfortable using and implementing different software systems like R365
Strategic ability to give menu feedback to reach win-win solutions on menu regarding cost and taste
Passion for high quality ingredients and delicious food
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years experience with high SKU supply chain
Experience opening new markets
Experience in Compliance and Risk Management
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong negotiation skills
