ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re seeking a Lead Engineer to help lead the charge on building a best-in-class guest-facing product experience, from menu personalization to an M/L based cook-time predictor to our self-service Kiosk ordering. You will be a steward of our product sprints, lead architectural initiatives, and rapidly iterate on products while balancing for future scale and code quality.

This role is based in San Francisco, with 3-days in our sunny Mission District office.
5+ years building scalable engineering solutions across the stack.
1+ year as a tech lead or team lead.
Production-level experience with Django and React.
Ability to lead complex projects from the ground up, including design, architecture, implementation, and continuous iteration.
Exceptional collaboration skills across engineering, design, and cross-functional partners.
Eagerness to wear multiple hats, lead new initiatives, learn new technologies, get things done.
Strong understanding of fundamentals of relational data modeling and design.
Believer in automated testing, continuous integration, high code quality.
Interest and experience in hiring and coaching/mentoring engineers.
Passionate about best practices and processes for high-performance teams.
Bonus: DevOps/CI/CD experience.
