Lime is hiring a Senior Regional Lead to join our Government Relations team based in Rome! In this role, you will report to the Deputy Regional Head, responsible for overseeing Government Relations in Italy.

You will engage new cities and local institutions, to expand our presence in the country and find new business opportunities. You will also manage relationships with current cities, fostering durable and trusting partnerships with local institutions. This includes expertly handling critical areas such as compliance, reporting, and coordinating local events to significantly enhance Lime's presence and impact, opening also further opportunities for growth.

In addition, you will be directly involved in reporting and requests for proposal activities.

You will join a passionate and proactive team, committed to bring shared, affordable and carbon free mobility for all.

The individual hired into this position would be preferred based in Rome or around and will be expected to travel on a regular basis in Italy.

This is a remote position with a preference for candidates residing in the city of Rome or around to maintain effective collaboration across teams.

This position requires regular travelling in the country to support business operations, which is considered an essential function of the role. Lime provides reasonable accommodations if necessary.

What you’ll do:

  • Under the responsibility and the supervision of the Deputy Regional Head in charge of Italy, execute expansion campaigns targeting new potential markets and engaging local city officials and other stakeholders, leading meetings and conducting vehicle demos.

  • Proactively meet with elected officials in existing markets to strengthen relationships, secure long-term partnerships, and preemptively mitigate potential obstacles to expansion or growth.

  • Collaborate closely with local authorities, transport operators, and community partners to integrate and position Lime’s shared mobility solutions as indispensable in their mobility portfolio.

  • Draft, own, and submit critical documentation, including Requests for Proposals (RFPs), detailed political reports, and stakeholder communications (e.g., newsletters).

  • Cross functional collaboration with other Lime team members on operations, product, marketing, and communications activities.

  • Continuously monitor and analyze political developments, anticipate regulatory challenges, and identify emerging opportunities for Lime's activity and service expansion.

  • Coordinate and execute local public events and community engagement initiatives to increase Lime’s local visibility and public support.

About you:

  • Fluent in Italian, English proficiency (spoken & written).

  • 5+ years experience in public affairs, politics at local level, political campaigns, and/or business development in a government-related environment.

  • A profound understanding of the Italian political landscape, specifically at the municipal level.

  • Highly organized, capable of managing complex projects independently, while excelling as a collaborative team player.

  • Ability to manage multiple competing deadlines, demonstrate open-mindedness to new strategies, and thrive in a fast-paced, challenging regulatory environment.

  • Experience in writing reports and proposals.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience working within Italian local institutions. would be beneficial.
