Lime is hiring a Senior Associate, Government Relations based in Marseille to join our Policy and Communications team. In this role, you’ll have the responsibility to oversee all Lime’s local Government relations (GR) and advocacy strategy in Marseille and in the South of France (Bouches du Rhône, Var, Alpes-Maritimes, etc.), in close coordination with central GR teams as well as local Operations teams. You’ll engage with Cities, NGOs, associations and other public institutions in order to develop our shared electric mobility services from Marseille, to Nice and beyond.
As a Senior Associate, you’ll join a dynamic and diverse team who shares a common vision for sustainable urban mobility. You’ll embody this vision towards elected officials in your region, and will efficiently translate back external political concerns and demands to Lime. Thus, you’ll facilitate the alignment between the needs of a fast growing tech & mobility company with the ones of our partner Cities and Government, and participate in the success of our mission.
The individual hired into this position must be based in Marseille or around, with ability to travel throughout France on a regular basis.
What you'll do:
Design and execute strategies targeting local political decision makers in order to develop our activity in new territories across France
Manage a portfolio of existing French markets, in which you will design and execute campaigns to improve Lime’s political reputation and preserve a friendly regulatory environment
Lead strategic relationships with city representatives, local authorities and third party stakeholders, regularly meeting with them to build trust and mutual interest, mitigate potential obstacles and convey the company's priorities and strategies
Help local authorities, transport operators, local partners and other relevant institutions understand how Lime’s mobility solutions can work for their cities
Collaborate closely with other Lime team members on operations, product, marketing, and communications activities
Write and own a variety of written submissions on behalf of the company, including Requests for proposals, newsletters and reports to political stakeholders.
Monitor and identify political developments in France and upcoming challenges for our activity
About you:
Fluent in French, English proficiency (spoken & written)
7+ years experience in public affairs, political campaigns, and/or business development in a government-related environment
A deep understanding of French politics and Policy
Existing transportation, government, and advocacy contacts and relationships in France
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; with the ability to create and develop relationships with external third parties and experienced in producing various documents (requests for proposals, reports, etc.)
Ability to handle multiple deadlines and work at a rapid startup space
Self starter, able to work independently and as part of a team
Creative thinker, able to imagine innovative strategies and campaigns
Passion for sustainable mobility, urban planning, politics and leveraging tech innovation at the service of the general interest
Preferred Experience:
Experience in a public institution such as City Hall or Government.
Degree in political science, public affairs, public relations or equivalent.
