We are seeking a Staff Integrations Engineer who can drive the architecture, implementation, and optimization of business critical system integrations across enterprise platforms, cloud infrastructure, and customer-facing applications. This role combines technical depth with business context—offering the opportunity to architect integration solutions, partner directly with customers, and influence product and platform strategy.

You will work at the intersection of engineering, product, and Corporate Technology (CT)—translating business and system needs into robust integration architectures and guiding implementations across multiple platforms such as AWS, middleware/iPaaS tools, and data environments.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on integrator and systems thinker who is comfortable designing scalable architectures, mentoring engineers, and working cross-functionally to support business outcomes and technical excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Integration Architecture & Delivery

    • Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable integrations across cloud platforms (preferred AWS), SaaS systems, APIs, and data platforms.

    • Develop integration workflows using modern iPaaS and middleware tools (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft, Workato, Apache Camel), while maintaining vendor-agnostic flexibility.

    • Partner with Corporate Technology - engineering and product teams to ensure integrations align with long-term technical strategy and business needs.

  • Customer & Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Act as the technical point of contact for internal teams and external partners during integration discovery, planning, and implementation.

    • Engage in detailed technical discussions with stakeholders to translate integration requirements into clear solution designs and user stories.

    • Support customer and internal team needs around SDK/API integration (browser/mobile), and troubleshoot complex interoperability challenges.

  • Cloud & Data Enablement

    • Architect integration solutions leveraging AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, Step Functions, SQS/SNS) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).

    • Work with data engineering to ensure integration pipelines support data quality, compliance, and operational reporting needs.

    • Integrate with both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases, with an eye toward performance and scalability.

  • Security, Observability & Optimization

    • Implement best practices for secure integrations (OAuth2, SAML, encryption, logging).

    • Ensure observability of integration pipelines using modern monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch).

    • Continuously improve pipeline performance and reliability via automation, alerting, and optimization.

  • Leadership & Technical Mentorship

    • Mentor integration and data engineers, providing architectural guidance and enforcing integration standards.

    • Contribute to internal integration playbooks, documentation, and process improvement initiatives.

About You

  • 7+ years of experience in integration engineering, solutions architecture, or related roles, ideally in high-scale cloud environments.

  • Demonstrated success working with APIs (REST/SOAP), ETL pipelines, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and hybrid integration platforms.

  • Hands-on experience of at least 3+ years with multiple integration/middleware tools (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft, Workato, Azure Logic Apps, Apache Camel etc).

  • Proficient in scripting or programming for integration automation (Python, Java, or Node.js).

  • Experience working in or with agile product teams and writing user stories or technical specifications for engineering teams.

  • Skilled in navigating technical conversations with external partners and internal stakeholders, with an ability to simplify complexity.

  • Strong understanding of SDK and API integration in browser and mobile environments (iOS/Android).

  • Familiar with secure data handling, compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and governance best practices.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field—or equivalent experience.
