As a Product Manager II, you will act in a strategic role, acting as a market expert who articulates market problems and needs. The Product Manager researches the market, identifies the market opportunity, and articulates user and buyer needs in the form of market and product requirements.

The Product Manager must be able to communicate with all areas of the company and work with technical counterparts to define product release requirements. The Product Manager will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. The Product Manager will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers.

The Resident Experience Product Manager will lead a cross functional team to drive mobile engagement and adoption for Residents through delivering a best Day One experience, a reliable, fast and secure mobile unlocking experience, and integrate with other resident services available through the RealPage platform. While the Resident is the primary person; Staff, Visitors and Maintenance personnel are other personas who utilize the mobile app.

This role will report to the VP of Product; and partner with Apps Engineering Manager and Mobile Engineering Team Lead on Strategy, Planning and Delivery. You will also meet with customers and B2B partners to inform vision and strategy of your respective area.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain the Product Roadmap.
  • Specify and elicit market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
  • Translate the customer experience into a logically sequenced and optimized product features.
  • Write complete and detail-oriented product requirements and user stories ensuring clear communication of those requirements to the business, design, usability, and development teams.
  • Maintain a product and feature roadmap and manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, site performance and operational needs.
  • Gather user feedback and evaluate product success and lead beta test programs.
  • Ability to demonstrate new products and communicate their value.
  • Create product documentation and training material to be consumed by marketing, professional services, sales, and support.
  • Track success and report on product health and profitability.
  • Represent RealPage, internally and externally, in a positive and professional manner.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in product management or related role.
  • Effective Communication Skills to include but not limited to.
  • Interview Skills: ability to lead a requirements elicitation session, talking with individuals and groups about their needs and asking the right questions to surface essential requirements information.
  • Listening Skills: ability to display active listening skills, understanding what people are saying and to detect what they might not be saying.
  • Presentation Skills: To include writing and making presentations to internal peers and external clients, using visual aids effectively, delivering the material confidently and answering questions competently.
  • Writing Skills: Communicate consumable information effectively within the organization and to our customers, understanding the different user roles and what the audience needs from the communication.
  • Analytical skills: evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, decipher the presented user requests from the true underlying needs, and separate out solution ideas from requirements.
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Comfort in managing multiple, high-priority projects.
  • Represents RealPage, internally and externally, in a positive and professional manner.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Experience at a software technology, digital media, or SaaS company.
  • Industry relevant knowledge (Multifamily, Self-storage, or Senior Housing, Real Estate, etc.) #LI-REMOTE #LI-JL1
