About the Role

As a Workplace Strategy Manager, you’ll play a critical role in delivering tailored workplace solutions for our largest, most strategic customers. You’ll sit on the Enterprise Sales team and report to the Senior Manager of Workplace Strategy. You’ll partner closely with Enterprise Sales, Operations, Real Estate, Design, IT, Facilities, Launch, and Construction to shape, sell, and deliver customized office solutions.

Your focus will be determining the right customization strategy for each prospective client — integrating discovery, solution design, scope definition, cost and feasibility analysis, and seamless pre-sale project management. You’ll serve as the technical and workplace expert throughout the deal cycle, ensuring that solutions are compelling, scalable, operationally sound, and financially viable.

This role is a blend of strategic, technical, and relationship-driven work — ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of design, construction, workplace strategy, and project execution.

This is an hybrid role based in NYC, Chicago, Atlanta, Austin or Washington DC

You’ll be a great fit for this role if:

  • You have a strong foundation in workplace / space planning, construction, project management, or architecture — and you enjoy translating complex spatial and technical requirements into clear solutions.

  • You are energized by collaborating cross-functionally — you know how to bring the right SMEs together to solve nuanced problems quickly.

  • You communicate with clarity and confidence — whether with internal cross functional stakeholders, senior executives at enterprise companies, or external vendor partners.

  • You’re comfortable being the decision-maker — you can evaluate feasibility, say “no” constructively, and guide stakeholders toward the best path forward.

  • You approach challenges with curiosity and creativity — always looking for opportunities to innovate and improve.

  • You enjoy being both strategic and hands-on — shifting between high-level solutioning and detailed execution when needed.

What could a day in the life look like?

No two days are the same, but here’s a snapshot:

  • You join a discovery call with a national healthcare company evaluating space for 200+ distributed team members. You lead conversation around use cases, adjacency needs, privacy requirements, and brand expression.

  • You assess feasibility to determine what can be achieved within budget and timeline — and identify where creative tradeoffs may be needed.

  • You develop solution recommendations and pricing scenarios to support Sales in proposal-stage negotiations.

  • You meet with external partners to align on workflows, documentation standards, and upcoming customization volumes.

  • You refine internal playbooks, trackers, templates, or tooling to support scale and improve visibility across teams.

  • You support the full life cycle of projects from handoff to Implementation, ensuring accountability, continuity, and alignment on scope.

  • You hold both internal cross functional and external vendor partners accountable to meeting project timelines and budgets.

What success looks like

  • Proposals are compelling, operationally sound, and financially viable — leading to strong close rates for customization-driven deals.

  • Sales, Operations, IT, and Facilities feel confident and supported by your leadership, clarity, and communication.

  • Customization projects launch and deliver smoothly — on time, on budget, and aligned to promised scope.

  • You’ve developed scalable frameworks, workflows, systems, and documentation that make the process more efficient across markets.

  • Your strategic insights directly influence future workplace product innovation and experience design.

Requirements

  • 5+ years professional experience, ideally with program or project management responsibilities

  • 3+ years overseeing construction or interior buildout projects from programming through close-out

  • Strong knowledge of design and construction methods, MEP systems, cost estimation, and financial reconciliation

  • Experience reviewing architectural/engineering documentation and coordinating cross-functional teams

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Smartsheets, Procore, AutoCAD, and/or Adobe Suite

  • Architectural or Engineering degree preferred
