About Us:

Homebound is on a mission to make it possible for anyone, anywhere, to build a home using technology. Created by an experienced team of construction, real estate, design, and technology experts, Homebound is transforming the residential construction industry by improving the costly and inefficient process of building a home.

We’ve created an entirely new way to build homes with technology powering every stage from start to finish to provide a seamless experience for our customers. Homeowners across the country can choose where they want to live, select a home plan that’s perfect for them, then personalize and buy it, all online. Homebound has raised $150M in capital from leading venture capitalists like Google, Khosla, Thrive Ventures, and we’re scaling quickly in places like Texas, Colorado and Florida. Come build your future with us.

Role Overview

We’re hiring an Architecture Coordinator to support Homebound’s pre-construction plan development across multiple markets. This role plays a critical part in ensuring architectural plans are not only technically sound, but also design-forward and aligned with Homebound’s architectural vision.

The Architecture Coordinator sits within Homebound’s Home Product Development on the Architecture team and supports the Associate Principal and Senior Architecture Associate across a broad range of responsibilities, including plan development, consultant coordination, documentation, and permitting.

In addition to core architectural coordination responsibilities, this role will work closely with the Associate Principal, Senior Architect, and Director to support the development and refinement of Homebound’s architectural design and brand identity across both exterior and interior architecture.

While Homebound’s technology platform is a key driver of both efficiency and customer experience, architectural design and process execution are equally critical to our success. The Architecture team and this role helps bridge architectural design intent, technical documentation, and cross-functional coordination —serving as the connective thread throughout pre-construction.

This position supports multiple markets; however, candidates must reside in the Dallas, Texas, area and be able to work from the office 2-3 days per week.

What You’ll Do

Plan Development & Architectural Coordination

  • Support pre-construction plan development across multiple markets by coordinating with architecture consultants and internal stakeholders.

  • Review architectural drawings at each stage of development to verify quality, accuracy, constructability, and alignment with Homebound standards, budgets, and code requirements.

  • Capture redlines, clarify revisions, and design feedback from project leads and ensure updates are accurately incorporated into revised drawings.

  • Actively contribute to the development and refinement of Homebound’s exterior architectural styles, including materials, color palettes, and details.

  • Review elevations, finish schedules, and architectural details to ensure consistency with Homebound’s architectural design standards and brand direction.

Permitting, Codes & Documentation

  • Support pre-construction activities related to zoning, permitting, and local building codes.

  • Assist in reviewing plans for compliance with jurisdictional requirements, setbacks, height limits, and other regulatory constraints.

Standards, Systems & Platform Support

  • Maintain working knowledge of Homebound’s architectural standards, design principles, and construction specifications across all phases of design.

  • Assist in establishing and entering architectural plan data into Homebound’s internal technology platform.

  • Support drafting and redlining tasks as needed to help projects remain on schedule.

What You’ll Bring

Experience

  • 2+ years of architectural experience, with exposure to residential architecture preferred.

  • Exposure to supporting plan development, consultant coordination, and drawing reviews during pre-construction.

Core Skills & Design Mindset

  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with a focus on delivering results and ensuring high-quality coordination across teams and external partners.

  • Interest in exterior architectural materials, color coordination, façade composition, and detailing.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (required).

  • Understanding of building systems integration, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to both internal teams and external partners.

  • Highly organized with strong time management, comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Quick to adapt to new technologies and workflows to support evolving project needs. A drive to innovate and improve design workflows.

  • Excited to join a mission-driven company and play a key role in a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing team!

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to residential permitting across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Interest in how technology platforms support architectural workflows and scalability.

Why Join Homebound
