We are looking for a Cell Failure Analysis Engineer to join our team. You will focus on characterizing and understanding cell failure modes. You will develop techniques and implement experiments to inform root cause analysis of cell failure modes to enable peak performance of Electric Hydrogen's core technology.

You will work onsite in Natick, MA and report to the Reliability Engineering Manager.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop failure analysis techniques to characterize key technology failure modes
  • Design and execute experimental plan geared towards understanding failure modes
  • Support test data analysis to resolve issues detected
  • Perform root cause analysis to understand and mitigate cell degradation mechanisms
  • Work closely with a diverse and passionate engineering team to provide insights to unblock issues and maintain cell technology advantage

Qualifications

  • BS required (Chem Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry or other science and engineering discipline)
  • 2+ years in industrial R&D in chemical, materials, or device-design or equivalent non-industrial experience
  • Experience gathering and interpreting data from material characterization techniques (i.e., microscopy, XRD, ICP, SEM, EDS, TGA/DSC)
  • Failure analysis methodology for root cause identification
  • Statistical experience such as JMP or familiarity with accelerated stress models
  • Apply Design of Experiments and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​
