We aim to be the primary service provider for the people and entities responsible for the care, movement, and long-term preservation of art and culture. To that end, our Special Projects Manager is responsible for finding, planning, overseeing, and executing a variety of complex projects, from initial planning to final implementation. In addition, the candidate will work independently and collaboratively across various internal groups to execute multiple concurrent and unique projects.

  • Pay: $83,000-87,000.00/annual salary

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM

  • Location: Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, On-Site Project Locations, Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage project activities - t rack project progression, identifying potential risks or issues, while d eveloping and implementing strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project success.

  • Monitor project budgets, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction

  • Lead staff and vendor activities on-site to maintain the project timeline and ensure a smooth execution

  • Foresee/resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during project planning or execution.

  • Develop proposals displaying the company's strengths/capabilities, while meeting client requirements, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Prepare accurate, competitive quotes: c onsider factors such as labor costs, materials, equipment rentals, and n egotiate with vendors/suppliers securing favorable pricing.

  • Plan truck loads, rigging jobs, and coordinate with transport providers to optimize efficiency, minimize costs and ensure the timely safe delivery of materials and equipment.

  • Manage personal duties and responsibilities to meet the needs of each project. Work location will be hybrid including work from home, office, and remote locations.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years experience in Project Management, with a successful track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

  • 1 year experience in Supervisory Capacity (i.e. Team Lead, Supervisor)

  • 1-3 years Rigging experience - u nderstanding the principles of rigging and the ability to create rigging plans.

  • Knowledge - Project estimation, including time and materials requirements, and WBS development; project management software; logistics and transportation planning; and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and building plans.

  • Skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with clients, team members, and subcontractors ; e xcellent organization; time management; recognize when to ask for help; awareness of limitations; and demonstrate the ability to seek guidance from experts and coworkers.

  • The physical ability to lift at least 60 lbs. and work many hours on your feet.

  • Prior experience in the fine art services industry is preferred, but not required.

  • Must be willing to travel; occasionally with short notice, but typically for short duration. A longer duration of travel (1-3 weeks) is occasionally required.

Reasonably expected salary range: $83,700.00 - $111,600.00
