About Aurora Solar

Aurora is on a mission to create a future of solar for all. Our award-winning software puts the power of data and technology into the hands of every solar professional to make solar adoption simple and predictable. Our software has designed millions of solar projects so far, empowering solar companies to sell, design, and install residential and commercial solar arrays accurately, seamlessly, and at scale.

We are a remote-first collaborative team of sustainable energy enthusiasts who love what we do. We’ve been named one of "The Best Mid-Sized Remote Companies To Work for in 2024" by BuiltIn.com and have been recognized for the second time as a Certified Green Business (CGB) with the city of San Francisco. We’re in this together to support the world’s transition to solar.

About the Role

Aurora Solar is looking for mindful and strategic product managers who have a passion for delivering simple, useful, and delightful solutions to complex problems. Our product managers are customer-focused product people who are dedicated to bringing the voice of our customers to every table and empowering our organization to solve the most important obstacles for our customers. In this role you will be responsible for the solar site modeling journey, empowering designers to seamlessly and efficiently model land including roofs, trees, parcel boundaries and more. This involves the identification, prioritization, ingestion, and user experience for geodata sources used to model residential and commercial & industrial solar projects.

  • Have led major projects from start to finish (soup to nuts), including measuring impact and iteration. Possess strong prioritization skills and stakeholder management. Able to articulate priorities among a mix of projects

  • Big thinker: strong product vision, and customer advocacy, with the ability to tie your work back to the business strategy

  • Proven director: able to help a small team achieve goals out of their comfort zone and influence company management

  • Outcome-oriented: articulates the desired outcome and works collaboratively to create a path to achieve it; proven ability to bring simplicity and measurable results to complex, ambiguous situations

  • Rigorous: asks hard questions, validates their assumptions, and guides the way to achieving goals
