We are a female-founded scale-up, currently made up of around 80 AltoVitians. Our fully-remote team hails from 14 different countries and collectively speaks 18 languages. AltoVita provides flexible living to employees anywhere in the world.
Most corporations, NGOs and government agencies do not typically endorse the use of (other) property platforms by their employees, because they do not deem them sufficiently safe for staff in their care. Therefore, companies have to resort to a highly fragmented property distribution system and as a result employees experience a slower, less transparent and more expensive journey to finding temporary accommodation for professional travel.
This is where we come in. Our founders experienced the frustrations of temporary corporate accommodation firsthand and decided that safety shouldn’t be a sacrifice. Today, the AltoVita platform boasts over 7 million properties in 36,000+ locations and 165 countries, with a key difference: every property is vetted and Duty of Care compliant, and our customer service team is on hand 24/7 to assist should any issue arise. Role Description
We are looking for a highly organised and service oriented AP Manager to join the AltoVita Finance Team for a maternity cover, for the following period:
- Start: mid-October 2024
- End: mid-December 2024
You will report to AltoVita’s Finance Director, and be part of a team of 6 in Finance which includes a Finance Manager, an AR Manager, and 4 bookkeepers.
The role will focus on the delivery of the day to day AP processes, assisting with bookkeeping on the AP side, and helping design and implement new processes in our ever evolving and expanding business.
We are looking for someone who wants to excel in being detail oriented and enjoys working in a dynamic team and business culture, and is eager to keep a steady bookkeeping and clean accounts. Due to the type of business we operate, it is quintessential to be fast but also accurate in both execution and communication.
Responsibilities
- Owning the daily communications with suppliers and vendors, coordinating with the bookkeepers to ensure processes are followed and activity is accurately traced
- Supporting our Customer Success team with continuous payments reconciliations and resolving AP queries
- Providing administrative support to budget holders in the business
- Partnering with the Finance Director to determine and execute on the company’s cash flow strategy
- Producing reporting to help the business enhance its working capital
- Owning some of the key controls around procurement and spend, including around reconciliations of payments
- Working with the Hospitality Growth Department to ensure alignment between AP/AR terms
Requirements
- 3-5 years proven work experience in AP, ideally within the Hospitality sector
- Experience with Xero as an accounting software
- Attention to detail and strong sense of ownership
- Strong communication skills, both internally and externally
- Self-starter with an agile attitude and smart business acumen

AltoVita is a fully remote team. Although we have regular touch-points throughout the week, organise off-sites in several locations, trust is essential for us to work effectively as a team.
