Aescape is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in a 6-month contract position. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally to propel Aescape towards the launch of our AI driven massage therapy robot. As the Manufacturing Engineer - Contractor, you will be responsible for driving our manufacturing processes on site with our CMs in Taiwan to ensure high-quality products are produced efficiently and cost-effectively. You will work closely with our, engineers, contract manufacturers and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement. You will assist in the implementation of process improvements and corrective actions and monitor the effectiveness of these changes.

This is a hands-on position that requires a strong analytical and practical background working with mechatronic systems, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment. We are looking for a dynamic, talented and pragmatic individual that will contribute from day one. The successful candidate must be process oriented, data-driven, and have prior experience working in a production setting.

What You’ll Do

As Manufacturing Engineer - contractor at Aescape you will:

  • Coordinate manufacturing aspects for NPI and mass production at contract manufacturers in Taiwan, ensuring adherence to manufacturing process control documents, design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

  • Serve as a key liaison between the manufacturing teams in Asia and the US, facilitating clear communication, sharing of best practices, and alignment on project objectives.

  • Coordinate the execution of testing protocols with manufacturing personnel to schedule test runs, monitor test progress, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during testing.

  • Conduct root cause analysis of test failures and anomalies, working collaboratively with design engineers and quality assurance teams to investigate underlying issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence in future builds.

  • Monitor production performance and develop solutions to address any issues that arise.

  • Work with quality control specialists to ensure that products meet customer requirements and comply with regulatory standards.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

  • A continuous improvement mindset with a methodology for identifying opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and production optimization throughout the supply chain.

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and root-cause analysis skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment with multiple competing priorities.

  • Extreme attention to detail and obsession with quality.

Nice To Have But Not Required

  • Experience with automotive, aerospace, industrial, mechatronic or electromechanical device manufacturing.

  • Experience with electronic documentation management systems (PLM), Arena/Agile experience preferred.
