Iron Mountain IT renew are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Technician with a background in IT asset management or relatable, to join our team in Drogheda, Co. Louth.

Overall Job Purpose:

As a Warehouse Asset Management Technician, you will play a key role in delivering a comprehensive range of IT data eradication and asset management services from the Iron Mountain ITRenew ITAD Ireland portfolio. Your responsibilities will include data erasure, decommissioning, asset management, secure shredding, site surveys, and general warehouse duties. You will occasionally perform these tasks on client sites, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and efficiency.

In this role, you will be required to deliver IT services within agreed timeframes, adhering to pre-defined method statements. Proficiency in both internal and external software applications, including Excel, is essential for supporting on-site activities and fulfilling reporting requirements.

Flexibility is crucial, as you may need to work outside standard hours or travel within Europe to client sites, with overnight stays as necessary.

When not on client sites, you will be responsible for warehouse data erasure, asset management, and supporting the warehouse supervisor in daily operations. This includes processing and monitoring project stock, providing training and support to standard refurbishment technicians, and contributing specialist knowledge to enhance departmental activities.

Main Duties of the Job :

  • Data Erasure – Using Proprietary Data Erasure Software

  • Shipping and Receiving duties

  • General warehouse duties

  • Decommissioning

  • Asset Management

  • Secure shredding

  • Site surveys

  • Project Reporting

When on Client site, To liaise on a daily basis with:

  • Operations Supervisor

  • Technical Operation Manager

  • Data Erasure Engineers

  • All Customer Representatives and staff whilst Onsite

To achieve effective control and performance of:

  • Shredding and compliance to sanitisation outcome

  • Data erasure activities

  • Adhering to health and safety security protocols

  • Dynamic risk assessments

  • Delivering site activities within an agreed project time frame

  • Adhering to service level agreements

  • Stock Control

  • Housekeeping

  • Quality Assessment

  • Repairs and Upgrades

  • Troubleshooting

  • Logistics

  • Design and implementation of departmental software/hardware tools

  • Project management

  • Service delivery

  • BIOS password/asset removal methods

  • Design and implementation of working procedures

  • Data Security in accordance to current industry standards

Personal Specification

  • Experience in any of the following specific areas: Network installation and troubleshooting, Mass storage installation and maintenance, Data Destruction and repair of Hard Drives, and server component knowledge.

  • Experience working with server/network hardware.

  • Knowledge on Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

  • Extreme attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to deal in a calm and focused way with conflicting demands and manage multiple priorities within competing deadlines to ensure positive outcomes.

  • Ability to work independently on assigned projects and tasks.

  • Articulate, tactful and sensitive in written and oral communication.

  • Ability to regularly lift/move 30-40 lbs daily.

  • Knowledge of the requirements of Health and Safety legislation.

  • Be a self-starter and demonstrate the ability to work without supervision.

  • Demonstrates commitment to remaining customer focused and performance oriented, in order to deliver the service to the highest standards.

  • Maintains high standards of ethics, professional conduct, probity and honesty, including commitment to the achievement of equal opportunities. Treat all sensitive data confidential.

  • Flexible and responsive to working times, patterns, locations and methods when necessary.

  • Be able to pass a full background check at county/ Federal and National level.

  • A valid passport.
